Selover Library expands hours
Selover Public Library in Chesterville will have new expanded hours beginning Jan. 2. The library will now be open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesdays through Thursdays, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Fridays, and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturdays. The library will continue to be closed on Sundays and Mondays.
‘Lunch Bunch’ group celebrates Christmas

Large turnout for Toy Bingo
Over 200 Bingo players filled the Cardington American Legion on Thursday, Dec. 7, for the Friends of Cardington’s annual Toy Bingo event. With the help of the American Legion and its Ladies Auxiliary, all aspects of the night were a success with members of the American Legion coordinating the Bingo operations, while the Ladies Auxiliary served food out of the kitchen.
Choir performs concert
The audience applause was enthusiastic after each song of the Mount Gilead High School Symphonic Choir’s winter concert Dec. 14 at Trinity United Methodist Church in Mount Gilead.
FFA team crowned state champs
For the first time in the program’s 84-year history, a Cardington FFA competition team has won a state career development event. This is only the second time in school history that any team has brought home a state title.

Agency on Aging holds annual meeting
The Ohio District 5 Area Agency on Aging, Inc.’s annual meeting was held on Tuesday, Dec. 12, at the Mid-Ohio Conference Center in Mansfield. Nearly 230 guests comprised of service providers, corporate board members, foundation board members, Advisory Council members, community partners, staff, and dignitaries were in attendance.
