Discussion among Morrow Workforce Alliance members at their April 2 meeting was lively as they discussed questions for employee and employer surveys. The surveys will soon be distributed to county businesses, agencies, and institutions which employ workers in Morrow County.

MOESC receives Workforce Development Award

Morrow County to be served by UWNCO

A realignment of Ohio United Way regions by the national United Way network has resulted in United Way of North Central Ohio (UWNCO) being designated as the body responsible for work in Morrow County. Dissolution of the nonprofit entity previously known as United Way of Morrow County has been completed through the office of the Ohio Attorney General and all assets have been converted.

Fire chief talks funding for volunteer department

Selover Public Library in Chesterville held its third “Officially Speaking” event on March 27. Big Walnut Joint Fire District Chief Ben Lovell joined a small group of Chesterville, Marengo, and Sparta residents to enjoy some light refreshments and to talk about himself and his role as a firefighter and a local fire chief.
