Ohio’s mineral resources valued at $1.7B

COLUMBUS – A newly released report from the Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR) Division of Geological Survey shows the state’s mineral resources produced $1.7 billion worth of geologic commodities in 2022. For a ninth straight year, the total value of all nonfuel industrial minerals exceeded $1 billion.

After suffering a stinging defeat in 2022 by 21 votes, the Cardington-Lincoln Public Library Board of Trustees was determined to get its ballot measure passed this fall. It was overwhelmingly approved by voters of the Cardington-Lincoln Local School District by 206 votes on Nov. 7.

Area ninth graders attend career expo

On Friday, Oct. 27, over 350 Morrow County ninth graders attended the second annual MoCo Career Expo. Students from Cardington, Gilead Christian, Highland, homeschool, Mt. Gilead, and Northmor were in attendance. The event was held at the Morrow County Fairgrounds and Gilead Christian School/Gilead Friends Church.
