Northmor’s girls’ cross country team took the championship in the 20-team Denny Stevens Invitational at Fredericktown Tuesday. The Knights finished with 97 points to edge Fredericktown by one. Mount Gilead finished fifth in the meet and Highland was 11th, while Gilead Christian competed, but not with a full team.

Kristen Duryea led the Knights by placing fifth in 20:05.7, while Isabelle Ditullio ran eighth in 20:39.1 and Brooke Bennett ran 20th in 21:11.4. Finishing 37th was Sydney Jennette in 21:53.1 and Samantha Peters took 42nd in 22:07.1. Reanne McDonald took 46th in 22:15.4, while Selena Cortez took 69th in 23:03.1.

Also, Rachel Morrison was 104th, Samantha Grogg was 109th, Danielle Bettis placed 155th, Kate Stiver was 173rd and Naomi Heilman ran 185th.

Jenna Shipman paced Mount Gilead by running seventh in 20:37.5, while Hannah Bush placed 14th in 21:02. Darcy Picker was 22nd in 21:14.2 and Kelsey Snyder took 51st in 22:29.5. Jadyn Shipman ran 61st in 22:48.9, Micah James was 78th in 23:31 and Hope Hack took 120th in 24:57.5.

Also, Savannah Randall was 127th and Kelly Baer placed 220th.

Highland was led by Sophia Thompson, who finished 23rd in 21:16.2. Laura Spearman placed 44th in 22:09.8 and Jena Buchholz ran 89th in 23:51.3, while Olivia Longhenry took 118th in 24:55.3. Morgan Wilhelm was 124th in 25:03.7, Elizabeth Jensen took 134th in 25:33.4 and Jenna Brown ran 139th in 25:47.3.

Also, Clarissa Dudgeon took 149th, Gracie Hinkle placed 154th, Taylor McClung was 163rd, Morgan Bailey ran 164th, Brianna Dado took 187th, Hailey Howard placed 196th, and Madison Chaffee got 215th.

For Gilead Christian, Lindsey Millinger ran 94th in 24:01.9. In the boys’ race, Fredericktown took the team title, with Mount Gilead running in second place with 109 points. There were a total of 24 teams competing. Northmor finished ninth, Highland was 13th and Gilead Christian didn’t have a full team.

Austin Hallabrin finished second in the race to lead Mount Gilead, His time was 16:27.1. Casey White placed 13th in 17:22.4 and Nick Weiss took 21st in 18:03.2. Kyle Ciballi ran 27th in 18:14.4, Trevor Ball placed 46th in 18:34.7, Kyle White was 67th in 19:09.7 and Tyler Clark took 97th in 19:40.2.

Also, Gavin Robinson was 101st, Colton Clark took 111th, Sy Shipman ran 112th, Logan Conrad took 161st, Isacc George placed 170th, Nathan Johnson finished 232nd, Josh Conaway was 267th and Xavier Nells ran 287th.

Northmor was led by Spencer Adams, who finished 20th in 17:51.9. A.J. White followed in 22nd with a time of 18:04.7, while James Walker was 52nd in 18:41.6 and Alec Moore was 73rd in 19:17. Chase Hoover finished 92nd in 19:34.4, Aaron Berg placed 95th in 19:38.2 and Kaleb Hart ran 102nd in 19:43.

Also, B.J. White was 107th, Collin Berg took 109th, Mostyn Evans placed 118th, Manny Heilman took 165th, Corey Rinehart ran 218th, Josh Cramer placed 238th, Chandler Somerlot took 248th and Brody Bishop was 294th.

Highland’s top runner was Devin Johnson, who placed fifth in 16:50.6. Collin Kipp took 80th in 19:25.8, Dalton Lee ran 106th in 19:45.9 and Christian Buchholz finished 115th in 20:00.5. Chandler Bumpus was 140th in 20:29, Jacob Serio finished 145th in 20:33.5 and Jimmy Tebbe took 148th in 20:34.5.

Also, Nick O’Bryant was 152nd, Tyler Bowen ran 159th, Jesse Matos took 203rd, Caleb Carder finished 222nd, Kahlil Karya was 249th, Luke Rinehart finished 250th and Jacob Manring ran 256th.

Gilead Christian was represented by Sean Linder, who finished 128th in 20:09.6.
