The Mount Gilead boys’ basketball team rallied in the fourth quarter to earn a home non-conference over Pleasant on Tuesday night.
In their 61-53 victory, the Indians led 21-18 after the opening period, but watched their opponents move in front 32-31 at the half. It was 44-42 in favor of the Spartans going into the final period, but MG took a 19-9 advantage over those eight minutes to finish on top.
Matthew Bland led the team, hitting three three-pointers in tallying 24 points. Both Elijah Chafin and Jackson Huffer picked up 12.
