FULTON — Twelve youngsters will go to camp next summer as a result of funding derived from the annual Lutheran Memorial Camp Apple Butter Festival held Sunday, Oct. 14, under sunny, clear blue skies.
A total of 637 people attended the festival, which offered a wide range of food and entertainment in addition to the silent auction.
Pat Surbella, camp office manager, extended special appreciation to the Avalon Nine musical group, Chris Shoemaker for making apple cider on site; the Dance Factory dancers from Caledonia; Superior Forge Smithy and the many volunteers and donors to the event.
Five flavors of apple butter were sold, including maple and pumpkin. Pints and half pints are still available and can be purchased by contacting or visiting the camp.
