The Highland Lady Scots put across three runs in the bottom of the seventh inning to come from behind and defeat visiting Buckeye Valley by an 8-7 count on Monday.

Maddy Stuckman had a triple and single for Highland, while Nikki Bennett added a double and both Lydia Shaffer and Jossalyn Varney finished with two singles.

Shaffer earned the win in relief of Kelsey Munday. The duo combined to strike out eight, walk four and give up 13 hits.

Northmor Golden Knights

Northmor struggled to put runs on the board against visiting Danville on Monday in suffering a 6-1 loss to the Blue Devils.

The team got a double from Mahaila Strobel and two singles each from Madison Simpson and Shelby Cooper. Kate Kissling was the pitcher of record. She and Cooper combined to give up eight hits, while striking out three and walking one.

Mount Gilead Indians

The Mount Gilead softball team was held to singles by host Fredericktown on Monday in an 11-1 loss.

Anavey Jodrey was the Indian pitcher in the contest. She gave up 11 hits, while walking four and striking out one.
