Cardington-Lincoln High School students who participated in fall sports were honored when the annual program was held Sunday, Nov. 22, at the high school.
Following a carry in dinner, the program, emceed by Athletic Director Bill Clauss, was held in the Drouhard Auditorium
Coaches of four sports and the cheer coach each named recipients of outstanding awards.
Volleyball coach Kendra Mosher named Samantha Brininger Most Valuable Player; Marrissa Hall, Most Improved; and Gracie Reese was given the Pirate Award
Golf coach Troy King named Nadia Kerman as the Pirate Award winner; Jacob Spires, Most Improved and Austin Yake, Low Stroke Average.
Boys cross country coach Erik Kyrk presented Derek Goodman with the Pirate Award, named Spencer Benson Most Improved and Jacob Long, Josh Queener and Mike Queener, Most Valuable Runners.
Kyrk awarded girls cross country runners. He named Sage Brannon Most Valuable Runner; Alicia McElwee, Most Improved Runner and Jessica Shook was given the Pirate Award.
Football coach Jerry Williams gave Brock Shade the Dog Soldier Award; named Trey Williams as the Outstanding Defensive Player; Luke McCarrell, Outstanding Offensive Player and Jason Mathus, the Red and Black Award. Branden Steckel was named Most Improved.
Cheer advisor Tracy Williamson awarded Libby McConnell as the Most Spirited; Patricia Davis, Most Improved and Destiny Williamson was given the Pirate Award.
