Cardinal Center hosts Buckeye Open in early June

Thousands of entrants competed in a dozen events over five days at the Buckeye Open hosted by the Cardinal Center.

A total of 5222 entrants competed in 12 events at the Buckeye Open, hosted by the Cardinal Center from June 1-5, with a peak total of 818 taking part in Saturday’s Singles Championship.

There also were a few prizes handed out to competitors. Kevin Polson of Glasgow, Ky. was named the Handicap Champion of Champions, while there were four winners of the Owen Manner 2 Night Vacation in Joseph Charnigo of Creston, Beverly Scott of Stow, Steve Hays of Cincinnati and Carl Schultz of Waterville.
