The Mount Gilead cross country teams had double duty on Saturday, running at both Tiffin Carnival and the Watkins Memorial Invitational.

The girls finished second at Tiffin and 14th at Watkins. Leading the way at Tiffin was Baylee Hack, who took second place in 18:34 — a new school record. Allison Johnson was sixth in 19:23, while Emily Hanft took 12th in 19:44 and Micah James ran 20th in 19:54. Olivia Millisor placed 27th in 20:10, Maddie Fitzpatrick took 97th in 21:52 and Selia Shipman was 252nd in 24:46.

Running in the Division III race at Watkins, Bridgette Millisor took 46th place in 23:30, while Makayla Weaver finished 67th in 24:36 and Jadyn Shipman was 68th with the same time. Also, Emma Burchett was 104th in 26:26, Emily Randall placed 119th in 27:17, Dakota Shipman ran 136th in 28:22, Zoie Barron claimed 137th in 28:42 and Kelly Baer ran 174th.

The boys’ team showed good depth by placing fifth in both meets. At Tiffin, Casey White was 17th in 16:40 and Liam Dennis took 18th in 16:42. Kyle White (62nd) and Brett Shipman (63rd) both finished in 17:37, while Ethan Supplee was 93rd in 18:06, Trevor Ball finished 107th in 18:23 and Tyler Clark took 108th in 18:24.

Brandon Stevens led the team at Watkins, running 23rd in 18:13. Riley Conners was 30th in 18:26 and Connor Page took 45th in 19:03. Gavin Robinson was 50th in 19:08, Sy Shipman placed 58th in 19:22, Josh Sullivan took 63rd in 19:27 and Isaac George ran 69th in 19:36.

Also, Eric Mowery finished 71st, Wyatt Fricke claimed 75th, Nathan Johnson placed 90th, Turner Fitzpatrick was 96th, Nathen Weaver placed 102nd and Tyler Knight took 167th.

Watkins Memorial Inv.

The Northmor girls finished second in the 20-team Division III race of the Watkins Memorial Invitational, only placing behind Centerburg.

The Knights were led by Jessica Duryea, who finished ninth in 20:53.1. Julianna Ditullio took 18th in 21:25.7 and Samantha Peters was 20th in 21:32.2. Brooke Bennett ran 24th in 21:47.3, Kristie Wright claimed 28th in 22:17.6, Julia Kanagy was 29th in 22:18.6 and Sabrina Kelley ran 30th in 22:27.6.

Also, Olivia Goodson was 41st, Carolyn McGaulley ran 60th, Samantha Grogg was 86th, Kenadie Hart took 111th and Tori Carver claimed 145th.

The Knight boys were third in their 18-team race. Gavvin Keen was 11th for Northmor in 17:31.2, while Austin Amens took 12th in 17:32.4 and Ryan Bentley placed 32nd in 18:30.1. B.J. White was 36th in 18:34.3 and Kaleb Hart ran 44th in 19:03.8. Chase Hoover took 48th in 19:07.6, while Kooper Keen placed 60th in 19:24.7.

Also, Manny Heilman was 83rd, Alec Moore was 87th, Sam Weaver placed 97th, Kolton Hart ran 104th, Kyle Price finished 125th, Zach Govani claimed 142nd, Austin Lewis was 189th and Josh Cramer ran 183rd.

Cardington also ran in the Division III races, with boys teams finishing 13th.

Mason White led the boys by running 10th in 17:28. Quinn Maceyko took 51st in 19:08, Spencer Benson placed 82nd in 19:54 and Racine Hallabrin took 84th in 19:58. Kaleb Meade took 136th in 21:11, Sam West finished 176th in 24:17 and Andrew Schoppelrei claimed 185th in 25:46. Also, Devin Gheen was 186th.

For the girls, Alicia McElwee was 38th in 23:02 and Marlo Young claimed 39th in 23:07. Maddie Brehm was 94th in 25:42, Taylor Linkous took 95th in 25:47, Sage Brannon ran 100th in 26:03 and Ashlee Drury was 166th in 31:43.

Highland’s teams competed in the Division II races. The Scot boys were 19th in their 28-team race. Dalton Lee was 51st in 17:47 to lead the team, while Collin Kipp placed 67th in 18:04 and Branton Howard took 73rd in 18:05.8. Zach Wetzel took 139th in 19:20.5 and Bruce Jordan was 160th in 19:41.2, while Christian Miller ran 172nd in 19:53.5 and Tucker Tague was 181st in 20:05.3.

Also, Alex McCafferty finished 196th, Nefiano Bumpus claimed 236th, Bode Sardinha was 250th in 21:56.6 and Andrew Gaylord placed 309th.

The Scot girls placed 24th in their race. Mia White finished 90th in 23:31.4, while Elizabeth Jensen ran 137th in 25:14.9 and Sarah Cooley took 148th in 25:33. Heather Ross was 158th in 25:48.7 and Morgan Wilhelm placed one spot behind her with a time of 25:49.1. Madison Cecil was 168th in 26:02.4, while Samantha Trusler claimed 170th in 26:04.5.

Also, Annie Bailey was 203rd, Olivia Longhenry took 214th, Morgan Bailey finished 230th, Clarissa Dudgeon placed 237th and Haylee Price was 244th.
