Highland opened the postseason by dominating Whitehall-Yearling 22-2 in their first-round Division II sectional contest Monday.

The team trailed 2-0 after the first inning, but scored nine in the second and eight in the third in pulling away for the lopsided decision.

The Scots picked up 11 hits and drew 14 walks in the five-inning game. Kate Clements had a double and two singles, with both Bri Tuggle and Aubree Johnson added doubles. Kaymi Lewis also had two singles in the win.

Lydia Shaffer went the distance for the win. She pitched a one-hitter, while walking six and striking out eight.
