Mount Gilead and Northmor will be well-represented at Saturday’s regional cross country meet at Pickerington North, as both schools qualified both their boys’ and girls’ teams.

The Lady Knights won the 20-team Division III girls’ race, while Mount Gilead took the fourth qualifying spot. Northmor was led by Kristen Duryea, who finished eighth in 19:48.77. Jessica Duryea was 12th in 19:59.27, while Julianna Ditullio took 19th in 20:30.31. Maria Lee ran 21st in 20:34.23 and Samantha Peters was 22nd in 20:38.44. Also, Maddie Jordan placed 27th in 21:01.06 and Brooke Bennett ran 44th in 21:42.36.

For Mount Gilead, Baylee Hack finished sixth in 19:27. Hannah Bush was 15th in 20:13 and Darcy Picker took 18th in 20:26. Micah James ran 34th in 21:28 and Bridgette Millisor took 38th in 21:33. Also, Maddie Fitzpatrick placed 47th in 21:43 and Makayla Weaver was 79th in 23:32.

In the first of two Division III boys’ races, Mount Gilead finished first with 19 points, while the second-place team had 76. Northmor took the third qualifying spot with 89.

MG took the first four places in winning. Austin Hallabrin was first in 16:22, Casey White ran second in 16:47, Nick Weiss placed third in 17:01 and Liam Dennis was fourth in 17:20. Also, Kyle White finished ninth in 17:44, Trevor Ball took 10th in 17:50 and Brandon Stevens claimed 18th in 18:09.

Northmor was led by A.J. White, who was eighth in 17:41.71. Ryan Bentley ran 18th in 18:17.93 and Mostyn Evans finished 19th in 18:19.13, while B.J. White took 21st in 18:25.98 and Kaleb Hart ran 23rd in 18:29.93. Also, James Walker was 30th in 19:03.1 and Manny Heilman took 35th in 19:33.23.

Cardington and Gilead Christian also competed in Division III, while Highland ran in the Division II races.

The Pirate boys took ninth in the first DIII race, with Quinn Maceyko running 16th in 18:10.8. Sonny Grooms was 41st in 20:18.8, while Spencer Benson ran 53rd in 21:13.8, Racine Hallabrin took 60th in 23:43.1 and Andrew Schoppelrei was 64th in 24:43.6.

The girls finished 14th, with Alicia McElwee finishing 42nd in 21:40.7 and Taylor Linkous running 62nd in 22:49.1 Jessica Shook claimed 68th in 22:59.5, Bailey Shafer finished 87th in 23:47.9 and Ashlee Drury took 142nd in 35:39.

Competing in the second Division III race, Gilead Christian had Sean Linder place 25th in 18:24.13, Justin Jones finish 27th in 18:25.67 and Kuane Whitt take 31st in 18:32.99.

In Highland’s Division II race, the Scots came one place away from qualifying, as they were fourth. Dalton Lee was 18th in 17:45.38, while Branton Howard took 21st in 17:52.96, Collin Kipp ran 24th in 18:05 and Tyler Bowen was 25th in 18:05.56. Also, Christian Miller finished 38th in 18:52.19, Bailey Damron ran 41st in 18:54.37 and Christian Buchholz finished 51st in 19:20.87.

The girls’ team finished 13th in the only Division II girls’ race. Sophia Thompson led the Scots, running 35th in 21:37.13. Laura Spearman took 43rd in 22:17.23 and Elizabeth Jensen finished 59th in 22:58.84. Jenna Brown was 77th in 24:24.58 and Madison Cecil ran 92nd in 25:18.87, while Samantha Trusler took 93rd in 25:20.05 and Hailey Howard placed 104th in 26:42.95.
