Highland’s eighth grade girls’ basketball team took a 35-9 win over Northmor on Wednesday.
The young Scots jumped out to a fast start, taking a 10-2 lead after one quarter of play, which they boosted to a 19-4 margin at the half. A low-scoring third quarter put the score at 21-7, but Highland finished the contest strongly to pull away for the big win.
Madison Cecil led Highland with 10 points, while Brooklyn Baird had eight and Gena West tallied seven.
