The meaning of Veterans Day was the focus when Cardington-Lincoln Elementary students made original posters which revealed their impression of this special day.

Students in 21 classes, K-4, each prepared an original poster and these were judged by their class teachers. The 21 winners were then judged by a team of veterans, Bruce Fissell, US Army; Fred Barber, US Air Force; Jerry Ruth, US Navy and Richard Collins and Eurmlee Collins, US Marine Corps, who selected one winner from each grade.

Winners were Kadance Brown, Gabe Hansen, Jade Bigler, Celia Hall, Alayna Seavolt, Dana Bertke and Izzy Wickline. Their teachers are, respectively, Lori Levings, Janet Sedlacek, Niccole Ramoneda, Ashley Volk Kim Harvey and Jake Mories.

Honorable mention was given to Hailey Smith, class of Marty Bonnette.

The contest was coordinated by Christy Roqueplot, the school principal.
