Last summer the Center for Medical Progress released a dozen undercover videos of the sale of aborted baby body parts. This is an alleged violation of federal law. This uproar has subsided. In fact, there is not a whole lot of news about it lately.
So far, Planned Parenthood has escaped any punishment. They continue to receive over $500 million dollars in taxpayer funding every year. This first annual #ProtestPP of Planned Parenthood is in response to this this apparent trafficking of baby body parts. This protest was held Saturday nationwide at over 220 Planned Parenthood locations, which is one in three of all the big abortion operators’ facilities.
The protest here in North Central Ohio at the Mansfield Planned Parenthood location brought over two dozen protestors. The chilly air (40 degrees with misty rain) and maybe some apathy kept more protestors at home. The goal of the protest movement is to see the end of all government funding for Planned Parenthood and the end of all abortions. The #ProtestPP movement will continue until this is accomplished.
Some of the signs being held included “Let God Plan Your Parenthood,” “Unborn Lives Matter,” “Adopt not Abort,” “Defund Planned Parenthood” and “Defend Life.”
A policeman oversaw the peaceful prayerful picketing, expecting perhaps an uprising from the “domestic terrorists” gathered. Or maybe he was just there to insure the free flow of traffic going into that “vital” business, the business of providing resources and means of ending the lives of unwanted human beings.”
Persons present were primarily from Richland County, Mansfield, Lexington, Shelby and Morrow County, Galion and Mount Gilead. Maybe if the U.S. Congress does its job and/or if the right person gets into office as President this November there will not be a need for future protests.
