Family Life Counseling and Psychiatric Services announced the opening of its newest office at 216 Harding Way W. in Galion.

A full-service counseling agency which offers more than a dozen specialized mental health and substance abuse programs, the nonprofit was founded in Mansfield in 1999.

“We have been well-received by the community and are already seeing clients,” said Steven Burggraf, Ph.D., LPCC-S, IMFT, Founder and CEO of Family Life Counseling. “With the opening of our Galion office, we have reaffirmed our commitment to reach those in need to provide mental health and substance abuse counseling. We are fortunate to have a highly skilled staff whose members are dedicated to providing vital services to local families.”

The Galion office is the sixth location for Family Life Counseling, with two others in Mansfield, one in Shelby, one in Millersburg and another in Danville.

Bank promotions

First-Knox National Bank promoted two associates at the October board meeting. Todd Hawkins and Mary Loyd were promoted to assistant vice president.

Hawkins joined First-Knox in 2002 and is an investment and trust portfolio manager. He is a licensed CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™. Hawkins is a graduate of Mount Vernon High School and Indiana Wesleyan University. He serves on the Knox County Head Start and the Mount Vernon Public Library boards. Hawkins resides in Mount Vernon with his wife, Kelly, and children, Carter and Quinn.

Loyd started her career at First-Knox in 1996 as the brokerage services manager. She is a graduate of Danville High School and serves on the board of New Hope Industries. Loyd resides in Danville with her husband, John. They have two grown children, Dawn and Shawn, and five grandchildren.
