TEA PARTY GROUP TO SHOW MOVIE – The Mansfield North Central Tea Party will show “One Generation Away” 7 p.m. Sept. 14 at Wyandotte Senior Center, 1164 Wyandotte Avenue, Mansfield.
STATE MEETINGS PLANNED – The Ohio Development Services Agency and the Ohio Department of Administrative Services will present information on Strengthening Ohio Minority Business from noon – 1 p.m. Sept. 14 at the Urban League of Greater Cleveland, 2930 Prospect Avenue in Cleveland.
The State Fire Council will meet at noon Sept. 16 at the Division of State Fire Marshal, 8895 East Main Street, Reynoldsburg.
The State Fire Council makes recommendations to the Governor, the General Assembly and other state agencies about any needed changes in laws, rules or administrative policies relating to fire safety. The Council also may recommend revision of the rules in the State Fire Code adopted by the State Fire Marshal.
The Cemetery Dispute Resolution Commission will meet at 10 a.m. Sept. 17 at the Division of Real Estate and Professional Licensing, 77 South High Street, 22nd Floor, Columbus.
The Commission assists in resolving complaints against registered cemeteries by using informal techniques of mediation, conciliation and persuasion. The Commission hears complaints brought by individuals who are experiencing a problem with a cemetery.
The Ohio Third Frontier Commission will meet 10 a.m. Sept. 17 at the Holiday Inn, 175 East Town Street in Columbus, Ohio, 43215. The Ohio Third Frontier Advisory Board will join the Commission in a working session from 11 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. The Ohio Third Frontier Commission coordinates and administers state science and technology programs to help maximize economic growth in Ohio.
UF LEADERSHIP PRESENTATION PLANNED – Mary Anne Rohleder, a 1970 University of Findlay alumnus who has been chosen as the fall semester visiting executive for the College of Business, will give a free community lecture on leadership at 12 p.m. Monday, Sept. 21, in Old Main’s Ritz Auditorium.
Rohleder’s speech is titled “Developing Your Leadership Styles.” She will integrate stories from a career in sports management that will pervade all disciplines. As visiting executive, she will also engage with students enrolled in two sport and event management classes, and will address student athletes.
After graduating from then Findlay College with a bachelor’s degree in education, she received a master’s degree in sports administration from Ohio University. She also received a master’s degree in education administration and school counseling at Butler University.
