Fire department has free batteries

MOUNT GILEAD — The Mount Gilead Fire Department is giving away batteries every day from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

If you need them for smoke detectors or carbon monoxide alarms, you can get them at the firestation, 1 Municipal Drive.
