FULTON — Fifteen youngsters will attend summer camp next year as a result of the generosity of 667 visitors to the annual Apple Butter Festival held at the Lutheran Memorial Camp, Fulton.

The event, held Sunday, Oct. 8, featured 18 artists exhibiting in Artisan’s Alley, pumpkin and face painting, lawn and carnival games team scarecrow competition and a petting zoo. Apple Butter was made on the site and sold. A variety of food items was also available.

The Avalon Nine a folk/rock band, played music reflecting the event throughout the day. There were 60 volunteers helping to make the festival a success.

Among the many competitions was a cupcake decorating contest won by Maddie Hellman and Carolina Taylor won the bean counting contest.
