Nov. 8

The 50s Flashback, showing of the movie “Grease”at Capitol Theatre 7 p.m. Admission is freewill donation with proceeds to the Morrow County Community Center fitness programs.

Nov. 8, 9, 11

The Morrow County History Center, 17 W. High St., Mount Gilead, will be open extra hours; 5-7 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday, prior to the special shows across the street at the Capitol Theatre. A display of 1950s-60s items will be on display. In observance of Veterans Day the museum will be open Saturday from 10 a.m. to noon. The museum’s Military Room tells the story of the service and sacrifice of Morrow County residents who served in the armed forces. Admission is free.

Nov. 9

Morrow at the Movies. Film clips from the 50s, 70s and 80s. 7 p.m. at the Capitol Theatre. Pre-sale Tickets $10. Tickets are on sale at the Morrow County Community Center, 16 S. Main St., Mount Gilead. Proceeds are for youth scholarships at the Community Center.

Nov. 10

Fall Festival, Gilead Christian School south campus, 4863 U.S. 42; 6-10 p.m. Chili cook-off, free hayrides, cake walk, games, concessions, bounce house. Free admission; tickets will be sold for 50 cents each to play games and some activities.

Day of Gratitude, noon-4 p.m., Ron Harper Realty, 871 West Marion Road, Suite 204. Give thanks to all our past and current clients, associates and veteran friends.

Nov. 11

Sacred Hearts Parish holiday crafts bazaar; 9 a.m.- 3 p.m., Handlebar Ranch, 6695 County Road 76. Bake sale, cash raffle, door prizes, food, crafts. Proceeds to to assist the Knights of Columbus in gifting Christmas food baskets to Morrow County’s needy families and to pay the building debt.

​Jenkins-Vaughan Post 97 of the American Legion is hosting its annual Veterans Day dinner. All Morrow County veterans and their families are invited to be guests with a roast beef dinner at 6:30 p.m. followed by the evening’s program at 7:30 p.m. Reservations are requested by Nov. 7 and can be made by calling Jim Crawford, at 419-946-8911. Location is at 307 Park Ave., Cardington.

Nov. 14

55+ Lunch at Selover Public Library, Chesterville., noon. Bring a dish to share if you can. For those age 55 and up. After lunch, Jeff Stuttler will talk about his new business, Heritage House B&B.

Nov. 15

The Tomorrow Center Board of Directors meet at 4:30 p.m. in the Cardington-Lincoln Intermediate Building, 3700 County Road 168, Cardington.

Nov. 18

Morrow County Genealogical Society program, The War of 1812, will be presented by Janet Rhodebeck. Meeting will be held at the Ohio Genealogical Society, 611 State Route 97 West, Bellville at 2 p.m. Research will be free to all attending the meeting. The Cardington First United Methodist Church, 300 S. Marion St., 12th annual free Community Thanksgiving Meal; 4:30-6 p.m. in the church fellowship hall. Traditional meal of turkey, dressing, mashed potatoes/gravy, dinner rolls, vegetables and dessert. Call 419-864-0015 with questions.

Dec. 2

Morrow County Family Fun Christmas, 4-7 p.m., Seniors on Center. Snacks, crafts, visit from Santa. Shows by Mr. Puppet, comedian and master puppeteer and the Michael Rose Christmas Show.

Christmas at Selover Library, Chesterville, 6-7:30 p.m. Visit with reindeer, enjoy hot chocolate and cookies, make a craft, and take pictures in the photo booth. Free admission.

Dec. 12

Morrow County Railroad History, 7 p.m., Seniors on Center; presented by Donna Carver. You can step back in time and ride the rails through this visual tour of the county’s railroad past.
