GALION — The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for this area from 1 a.m. until 9 a.m. Tuesday.
A wintry mix of precipitation is forecast and could include snow accumulation of up to 1 inch — along with a light glaze of ice.
The snow is expected to begin shortly after midnight then transition over to light freezing rain that may continue through the morning commute.
All locations should change over to rain by mid morning.
The ice and snow accumulations may create slippery road conditions and produce scattered power outages.
Winds will increase, to 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 35 mph. Temperatures will be in the middle 20s this evening then slowly warming through sunrise and should be above freezing by 9 a.m.
Drivers should be prepared for slippery roads and limited visibility.
