Highland continued their winning ways in the MOAC with an 11-4 win at home against Centerburg Tuesday. The Scots trailed 1-0 after the first inning, but scored five in the second and one in both the third and fourth frames to take a lead they would not relinquish.
Max Schreiber got the win to improve to 6-0 on the season. He struck out five, walked two and gave up six hits. Offensively, Lane Ballard, Shane Carney and Wyatt Gresh combined for six hits and six RBIs. Ballard had three of those hits, including a two-run double. Conner Ulrey also had a double and single.
Northmor Knights
Northmor lost a wild one to Lucas on Tuesday by a 12-9 margin. The Knights trailed 6-1 after two innings, but bounced back to take a 7-6 lead going into the bottom of the fourth. However, the Cubs scored two in the fourth and fifth to take a three-run lead. Both team scored twice in the sixth, as Lucas held on for the win.
Jordan Wiseman and Gunnar Lilly combined to strike out seven and walk four, but gave up 12 hits. The Knights added 10 hits in the game, with Tyler Kegley having a double and single and both Bryan Hammond and Conan Becker finishing with two singles. Also, Nate Hall hit a home run and Wiseman finished with a single.
