Anyone who works with young children is invited to attend a free Growing up Wild workshop on April 9 from 9:-3. Participants will receive an activity guide and lots of information about this program which is sponsored in Ohio by the Division of Wildlife. Six hour SUTQ and continuing education credits are available. Register with Marilyn Weiler at [email protected].

On Sunday afternoon, April 10 from 2-4 p.m. a geo-caching program will be held with an introduction and then a chance to practice skills at the Center. This will be an enjoyable way to learn about a new activity and get outside to see signs of spring.

HOEC is located on county property and is administered by Morrow SWCD. Additional programs and activities that are being planned are foot golf, an arboretum and a new utility building. There is a Free Little Library on site with many trails through a variety of habitats.
