A Chester township man was injured Saturday evening after his horse and buggy was struck by a vehicle east of Chesterville.
Post 59 of the Highway Patrol reported the buggy and a 2015 Chevy Silverado C1500 were eastbound on State Route 95 about 6:36 p.m. when the Silverado, driven by Angela Frazee, 44, of Howard, Ohio, struck the horse and buggy.
The unnamed Amish man was airlifted to a Columbus hospital where he was treated for cuts and bruises but sustained no serious head trauma. The horse was examined by a veterinarian and is reported to be alright.
Frazee was cited by the Highway Patrol for failure to maintain assured clear distance.
