First Presby breakfast is Sept. 26

First Presbyterian Church, 55 N. Cherry St. is hosting a Fourth Saturday Breakfast, Sept. 26, 7-10 am. The menu will be made-to-order omelets, hash browns, and toast. The cost is $6 for adults / $3 for children. This month’s proceeds will go the Morrow County Community Action Program. The breakfast group is also asking for donations of toiletry items for the CAP program.

Village of Mt. Gilead Hydrant Flushing schedule

Harmony Chapel’s Country Breakfast is Oct. 18

Harmony Chapel UMC will hold its fall Country Breakfast Buffet on Sunday, Oct.19, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Eggs are featured in casseroles, scrambled, deviled, and made-to-order omelets. Menu also includes breakfast breads, pancakes, biscuits and sausage gravy, meats, fresh fruit, and PIE. The church is located six miles east of Mt. Gilead and one mile south of SR 95 on CR 20. A freewill donation will be collected. An elevator for the handicapped is available.

Library book sale is week of Oct. 20

Chess Club is back

Chess Club is back starting Sept. 15! Join Pete and Rhonda Dettra on Tuesday afternoons for the Mount Gilead Public Library’s Chess Club. The Chess Club begins at 4 p.m. on the third floor. The club is open to all ages and skill levels.

Cardington Food Pantry revises hours

The Cardington Community Food Pantry will change to 9 am-12 noon on Oct. 7, 2015. The pantry will still be every Wednesday. We do need families to come on the week assigned, as much as possible. A-G come on the first Wednesday of the month (9 am-12 pm); H-L come on the Second Wednesday / month (9 am-12 pm); M-R come on the third Wednesday/ month (9 am-12 pm); S-Z come on the fourth Wednesday / month (9 am-12 pm); ANYONE may come on a fifth Wednesday.

No Limits needs pantry donations

No Limits Food Pantry is open to all Morrow County residents. (Income eligible, under the ODJFS guidelines, to receive food). Location: Vine Street, Edison. Open every M-W 10-11:45 A.M. 12:30-2:45 P.M. 1st and 3rd Friday 10-11:45 am. 12:30-2:45 pm. We are in need of food and monetary donations. Please help us feed Morrow County.

Dance held every Saturday in Marion

A Dance is held each Saturday from 7-11 p.m. at Sawyer Ludwig Park in the Shrine Building at 1313 White Oaks Rd., Marion. Admission is $8 for adults. No dance will be held Aug. 8 and 15 but will resume Aug 22 and 29. Food and non-alcoholic beverages are available. No smoking.
