Colonel Crawford captured the boys team championship at the Bucyrus Elks #156 Cross Country Invitational held Saturday at the Crawford County Fairgrounds.
The Eagles tallied 41 points. Buckeye Valley finished second with 73 points. Willard placed third with 114 points. Seneca East came in fourth with 187 points and Bucyrus was fifth with 223 points.
Zach Kreft from Buckeye Valley won the individual championship after posting a time of 15 minutes, 55.63 seconds.
Chad Johnson, Brad Bauer and Nick Studer each turned in a top 10 finish to pace the Eagles. Johnson placed second with a time of 16 minutes, 00.80 seconds. Bauer and Studer finished fourth and fifth, respectively. Bauer’s time was 16:47.09. Studer posted a time of 17:15.71.
Brandon Long and Wade Hopkins rounded out the top five runners for Colonel Crawford. Long placed 14th with a time of 17:54.09. Hopkins came in 16th place with a time of 18:05.45.
Northmor placed sixth in the team standings with 228 points, led by A.J. White, who finished 10th. His time was 17:42.95. James Walker placed 17th with a time of 18:08.74. Rounding out the top five for the Knights were B.J. White (69th, 19:53), Kaleb Hart (75th, 19:59) and Chase Hoover (77th, 20:04).
Devin Johnson of Highland finished in third place, posting a time of 16:45.34.
