Cardington-Lincoln High School seniors awarded $84,700 in scholarships

A total of $84,700 in scholarships was awarded during the Cardington-Lincoln High School Senior Night held May 27 in the Murphy Gym.

Cardington-Lincoln Superintendent Brian Petrie, along with sponsors of the scholarships, awarded the following 2016 seniors:

Abigail Diamond, $300 from Mount Gilead Masonic Lodge; Alison Ames, $12,800 from NUCOR; Austin Curtis, $100 First National Bank, Hidden Asset Award; $500 Cardington Music Boosters; $1,000 Karlotta Kay Joan Memorial Scholarship; Camryn Dieter, $500 Morrow County Dairy Association; $250 Evva Kinney Heath Memorial scholarship; Elizabeth Crum, $1,500 Cardington Lincoln Board of Education; and $250 American Red Cross Drive to Serve; Jacob Long, $1250 Cardington Yutaka Technologies; $100 Career Passport; $1,500 Burr Farm Scholarship; $10,000 Kenneth and Louise Strine Memorial Scholarship and $1,000, Cardington-Lincoln Alumni scholarship; Jenae Tracht, $1,000 Cardington-Lincoln Alumni Assoc and $10,000 Margaret Miller Memorial Scholarship; John Levings, $250 Cardington-Lincoln FFA Alumni scholarship; Jordan Seymour, $150 Harry A. Mock scholarship; and $500 Morrow County Township Association; Josh Queener, $1,200 Lillian E. James scholarship; Kelsey Barker, $100 First Knox National Bank Hidden Asset Award; Lauren Hall, $1,500 John M and Bertha A. Stone Scholarship; $1,200 Fisher Family Scholarship; $1,000, Beatrice Kloss Memorial Scholar- Scholarship; and $250 Cardington-Lincoln FFA alumni scholarship; Nate Leland, $500 Cardington Vo Ag Farm Association scholarship; $1200 Lillian E. James scholarship; $10,000 Kenneth and Louise Strine Memorial Scholarship; and $500 Morrow County Dairy Association; Rachel Garcia, $4,000 Kay Kelly Wilhelm Memorial Scholarship; Sarah Norris, $1200 Lillian E. James scholar- ship; and $500 Cardington Music Boosters; Tiara Snyder, $1,000 McGinnis Family Memorial Scholarship; $1,000 Cardington-Lincoln Faculty Association scholarship and $1,000 Patricia Wilhelm Memorial Scholarship; and Trey Williams, $1,000 Ryder Steck Memorial scholarship and $500 Charles Long scholarship.

Bringing the Baccalaureate message on senior night was Steve Dennis, pastor of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Cardington.
