Silver Sneakers instructor Joanne Trainer was surprised by her Silver Sneakers class when they presented her with flowers and gift certificates to show their appreciation for all she does.

Silver Sneakers meets at Seniors on Center, 41 W. Center St. in Mt Gilead, Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays at 8:45 for an hour of exercise using weights, bands, and balls. Joanne donates her time to teach the class and brings much more than just exercise for those who attend. She has incorporated many different aspects of mind and body fitness, making the class enjoyable and beneficial on many levels.

“We feel really fortunate to have such an excellent teacher and program available,” one of her students said.

The class is also grateful to Seniors on Center for providing such an convenient and attractive space for the Silver Sneakers class to meet.
