Work on dam progressing

Workers are near completion of rebuilding a new earthen embankment dam that will impound the lake. Work continues on finishing construction of a new spillway which features a labyrinth weir system. Also on the schedule is to install safety guardrails, a pedestrian trail, an information kiosk, park benches, fishing line collectors and a new kayak launch. Improvements also continue to be made on the lake’s Upper Dam that includes a recapped spillway and a safety guardrail and handrails, according to the Ohio Department of Natural Resources.
