Johnsville Grace United Methodist Church annual ice cream social from 4:30-7 p.m. Featured will be sandwiches, noodles, baked beans, salads, pies, cakes, ice cream and drinks. A freewill donation will be collected. The church is located in Johnsville, east of the square on County Road 242.

First Presbyterian Church’s 4th Saturday Breakfast. Omelets, hash browns and toast. Each breakfast comes with your choice of beverage; adults $6, children $3; 7 a.m.-10 a.m.; 55 N. Cherry St. Mount Gilead.

The monthly meeting of the Morrow County Genealogical Society; 2 p.m. The program will be presented by Jeff “Hutch” Hubschman who will portray the Rev. James Wheeler. Rev Wheeler was the last missionary to the Wyandot Indians and is buried in Rivercliff Cemetery. The meeting will be held in the lower level of the Annex Building of the Mount Gilead Public Library. It is open to the public.

Aug. 27

Farmer’s Market at the Edison Depot. Each Sunday (except Sept. 3) until Sept. 24. Hours are 10 a.m.-2 p.m.

The Humane Society Serving Crawford County’s annual Hogs for Dogs Charity Ride. Registration is $25 per person, which includes a T-shirt and dinner. Proceeds will benefit the agency. The first bikes will head out at 1:30 p.m. and the last one will leave at 2:15 p.m. For information call 419-562-9149.

Final free fresh produce market of the 2017 season; 10,000 pounds of free produce will be given away. Produce is from Mid-Ohio Foodbank.
