Highland’s softball team outlasted Centerburg in a wild one on Tuesday to take a 16-13 decision. The Scots tailed 2-0 after the first inning, but scored four in the second to take the lead. The score would be tied at nine after four frames, but Highland scored twice in the fifth and five times in the sixth to tally enough runs for the win.

Abby O’Bryant and Lucy Smith combined to strike out four and walk three, while giving up 11 hits. Smith picked up the win. Highland tallied 15 hits in the contest, with Parker Steck collecting four. Abby O’Bryant had three, including a three-run home run and a double. Bridget Oder had a triple and single, Morgan Wilhelm added two doubles and Ashlyn Jordan also had two hits.
