A late surge pushed Buckeye Valley past Cardington on Tuesday by a 64-55 margin.

The Pirates got off to a strong start, taking a 20-16 lead after one period of play and increasing it to a 33-28 score by the half. Cardington still led 49-46 after three quarters, but the Barons took the fourth 18-6 to take the win.

Both Garrett Wagner and Dalton Snider scored 12 points for Cardington, with Wagner scoring all his points on four three-pointers. Devin Pearl added 10 more in the game.
