Cardington would fall on Saturday to Centerburg at home in an overtime thriller after the Trojans battled back in the fourth quarter.
The Pirates led 9-7 after the opening period and 23-19 at the half in the contest, before moving in front by five after three quarters of play. Centerburg would take the fourth 14-9 to tie things up at 45 at the end of regulation, though, and then outscored Cardington 6-2 in the extra session to take the win.
Trey Williams tallied 20 points to lead the Pirates, while both Garrett Wagner and Derek Goodman added nine each. Wagner hit three three-pointers in the game.
