Northmor took third place in the 36-team Marion Harding Winter Classic, which was held Monday and Tuesday.

The Knights finished with 133.5 points and boasted six place-winners in the meet. At 132 pounds, Conan Becker went 5-1 to take second place. Both Jake Neer (106, 4-1) and Aaron Kitts (120, 5-1) claimed third place in the meet. Jake Farley went 4-2 at 145 pounds for fourth place, Griffin Jenkins had a 5-2 mark at 126 pounds for fifth and Nathan Price took sixth at 220, going 3-3 in the tournament.

Also, Wyatt Collier (113), Matthew Ross (138), Brad Baker (152), Ben Singer (170) and D.J. Christo (182) all won either once or twice.

Mount Gilead also competed at Harding, finishing 27th with 33 points. Billy Matyac highlighted the MG performance by taking fifth place at 160 pounds with a 4-2 mark.

Hunter Trimmer came one match away from placing at 170, going 3-2 in the meet; while Troy Whitt and Brandon Strickland also claimed wins.

Highland Scots

Two Highland wrestlers placed at the Medina Invitational Tournament, held Sunday and Monday.

At 138 pounds, Dakota Bunting boasted a 5-1 record to finish third in that weight class. Zach Baker went 3-2 at 195 pounds to finish in fourth place.
