Strong defense pushed Cardington past Northridge by a 56-31 margin in a Monday win by the Pirates.

Cardington held the Vikings to four points in both the first and second quarters as they raced to a 29-8 lead at the intermission. They would then outscore Northridge 27-23 during the second half to maintain that large lead the rest of the way.

The Lady Pirates had balanced scoring in the game, with four players reaching double figures. Both Sage Brannon and Kynlee Edwards tallied 11 points, while Summer Morgan and Kyndall Spires had 10 each.
