Highland’s bowlers split with Shelby on Friday.

The boys’ team won 1998-1786. James Blaney had the top series of 398, while he and Jesse Reigles tied for overall high game with 215 pins. Also, Trevor Stewart (194), Rusty Martin (186) and Jacob Anthony (169) had notable games.

Shelby edged the Lady Scots 1653-1607. Elyssa Reigles rolled a 179 for Highland, who led going into the second Baker game, but couldn’t hold on in the contest.

Mount Gilead Indians

Thursday saw the Mount Gilead bowlers split against Bucyrus.

The boys’ team earned a 2272-2131 decision. Dylan Farrell rolled 435 to pace the Indians, while Graham Sherbourne rolled 402 and Wyatt Irwin finished with 380 pins.

In the girls’ match, MG was edged by a 1571-1538 count. Sam Sellers led the way by rolling 280 over her two games.
