Cardington rode a dominant third quarter to a 65-20 win at Northmor Wednesday night in girls’ basketball.

The Pirates led 14-4 after the first quarter and 26-12 at the half, but were able to then outscore the Golden Knights 26-1 in the third period to open up a 52-13 advantage. They would finish the game by taking a 13-7 edge in the fourth period to earn the win.

Cardington had four players in double figures on the night. Karsyn Edwards connected five times from three-point range in leading all scorers with 17 points. Kambry Edwards added 15, Beth Hardwick scored 11 and Mikayla Linkous finished with 10. For Northmor, Lexi Wenger finished with eight.
