Cardington fell to Clear Fork at home in their season-opening volleyball contest Monday by scores of 27-29, 16-25 and 19-25.

Senior outside hitter Samantha Brininger led the team with seven kills and 17 digs. Junior Gracie Rees had seven kills, while sophomore Marissa Hall finished with 13 assists.

Northmor Knights

Northmor’s volleyball team fell to 1-2 on the season against North Union Monday. The Knights won the first set 25-19, but then lost 19-25, 20-25 and 22-25.

Rayanna Loyer tallied five blocks and two aces for the Knights, while both Mikayla Briggs and Hope Miracle added two blocks. Briggs also had eight kills, while Miracle added five kills and 21 digs.

Jordyn Zoll had 19 assists, one ace and 21 digs, and Karlee Carroll finished with five kills, two aces and 19 digs. Also, Anna Donner added five kills and 12 digs, Lindsey Wiseman had 20 digs and Cristianna Boggs tallied 13 digs.
