Highland opened the 2015 volleyball season in fine form, topping Buckeye Valley and Loudonville at home Saturday.

In their 25-6, 25-14, 25-11 win over the Barons, Highland got eight kills from Sierra Mailey and five more from Krista Walters. Bridget Oder finished with six kills and nine digs, while Taylor Belcher added five aces and 12 assists. Also, Brogin Denman tallied 10 digs.

The Scots then topped Loudonville 25-9, 25-8, 25-12 to move to 2-0 on the young season. Ashton Terrill finished with 12 kills, four aces and nine digs; while Elora Stiltner picked up six kills. Oder had 11 digs, Belcher finished with 11 assists and Mailey added five aces.

Northmor Knights

Northmor opened their volleyball season on Saturday by splitting a pair of matches.

The Knights lost 25-17, 20-25, 23-25 to Clear Fork, with Jordyn Zoll picking up 15 assists, 14 digs and two blocks. Lindsey Wiseman picked up 25 digs and one aces, while Karlee Carroll added 12 digs and six kills. Hope Miracle tallied two aces and five kills. Both Rayanna Loyer and Anna Donner added two aces. Also, Mikayla Briggs had seven kills.

Northmor would then top Lucas 25-10, 25-20 with Miracle picking up seven kills, one block and two aces, and Briggs adding four kills and two blocks.

Zoll tallied two blocks, 11 assists and an ace. Wiseman finished with 13 digs and two aces, while Cristianna Boggs added 10 digs and Carroll finished with seven.
