Cardington-Lincoln High School students who participated in fall sports were recognized and awarded during the awards program held in the Drouhard Auditorium Sunday, Nov. 4. Tom Hack, athletic director, served as the emcee.
Golf coach Brett Young named Christian Hand, Most Improved; Cayman Spires, Most Valuable Player and Jacob Belt, winner of the Pirate Award.
Cross country coach Erik Kyrk awarded Michael Rose as Most Improved Runner; Mason White, Most Valuable Male Runner; Marlo Young, Most Valuable Female Runner and Devin Green, the Pirate Award recipient.
Ryan Treese, volleyball coach, named Kayleigh Ufferman, Most Improved Player; Paige Clinger, Most Valuable Player and winner of the Offense Award; Maci Morgan, Defense Award winner and Hannah Wickline, Pirate Award.
Tim Plumley, football coach, awarded Mason Goers, Player of the Year and Brenden Steckel, Special Teams player of the year and Golden Helmet (academic award for seniors). Deven Steck was named lineman of the year and Nick McAvoy earned the Pirate Award.
Cheer coach Jamie Ames gave Grace Struck the Most Spirited Award; Madyson Kinter, Most Improved; Emily Benson, Pirate Award; and Paige Artz was recognized for outstanding leadership. Outstanding showmanship was awarded to Isabelle Crum and Citalee Higgins.
