Highland, Cardington win KMAC middle school CC titles

Highland and Cardington picked up titles in the KMAC middle school cross country meets, hosted by Mount Gilead on Saturday.

In the boys’ meet, Highland took first place, while Northmor was second and Mount Gilead placed fourth. Cardington only had one runner in the race.

Hunter Bolton led Highland by running second overall in 11:12.11. Also, Joel Roberts was fourth, Brendan Lester was fifth, Zane Sheets was eighth, Rusty Martin was 12th, Grath Garee was 16th, Denim Myers was 19th, Andrew Ward was 20th, Mateo Bumpus was 26th, Corban Benedict was 29th, Austin Grandstaff was 34th, Gavin VanWinkle was 37th, Coen White was 39th, Matthew Gaylord was 40th, Noah Rucker was 46th and Harken Peck was 51st.

Northmor’s Connor Radojcsics claimed sixth place in the race with a time of 11:58.17 to lead his team. Also, Ryan Lehman was ninth, Rory Porter was 10th, Bryce Cooper was 23rd, Jed Adams was 27th, Owen Philpot was 31st and Tyler Parsons was 48th.

For Mount Gilead, Parker Bartlett placed third in 11:38.27. Also, Logan Welsh was 13th, Luke Frazier was 18th, Cole Hershner was 25th, Nathan Smith was 33rd, Samuel Baer was 38th, Quade Harris was 41st, Landon Spoon was 49th and Hayden McClelland was 53rd.

Cardington’s Ryan Clinger placed 47th in 15:47.53.

The Pirates claimed first place in the girls’ meet. Northmor ran fourth, Highland was fifth and MG finished in sixth place.

For Cardington, Loey Hallabrin was the race winner in 12:17.33. Also, Morgan White was third, Lydia Hess was fifth, Gracie Meade was 12th, Lexi Peters was 14th and Maddy Brook was 45th.

Northmor was led by Emilee Jordan, who took eighth place in 13:51.88. Also, Sydney Kelley was 17th, Kinsey Hale was 20th, Felicia Gallagher was 21st, Kendalynn Schwartz was 33rd, Fayth Gallagher was 35th and Hannah Kanagy was 38th.

Highland’s Shelby Conley ran 10th in 13:57.64. Kennedy Clark was 11th, Gracyn Zerby was 25th, Madison Howard was 26th, Hannah Wagner was 28th and Keat Rhodes was 43rd.

Aubrey Thomas was 19th for Mount Gilead in 14:39.22. Also, Maddison Hursey was 23rd, Karley Wallace was 24th, Tatum Neal was 36th and Kamry Grandstaff was 37th.
