A strong defensive effort carried Mount Gilead past Harvest Prep by a 38-17 margin on the road Monday night.
The Indians took a 10-1 lead after eight minutes of play and increased that advantage to a 20-5 margin by the half. They would continue to pull away in the second half, outscoring their hosts 18-12 over the final 16 minutes.
Madison Fitzpatrick led all scorers with 14 points.
Northmor Knights
Northmor’s girls’ basketball team fell to Ridgemont on Wednesday by a 55-43 margin.
The Knights were led by Julianna Ditullio, who tallied 10 points.
