Women interested in learning more about the outdoors have the opportunity to attend a variety of classes at the Becoming an Outdoors-Woman event, Friday through Sunday, Oct. 2-4. Becoming an Outdoors-Woman is a national program designed to introduce women to a variety of outdoor skills, according to the Ohio Department of Natural Resources.

Ohio Outdoors-Woman, Inc. in cooperation with ODNR Division of Wildlife is hosting the workshop in Delaware County. Participants have the opportunity to learn skills such as firearm safety, outdoor photography, kayaking, hunting, archery, fishing, and much more.

The annual workshop is held at Recreation Unlimited in Ashley, about one hour north of Columbus. More information about the facility is available at recreationunlimited.org.
