Mount Gilead took top honors over Fredericktown in both the boys’ and girls’ races at Saturday’s Mount Gilead Invitational Saturday. In the four-team boys’ race, MG edged the Freddies 26-29 and topped them 24-33 in the girls’ event.

Liam Dennis led the boys by winning in 16:07. Casey White took second in 16:21, while Kyle White placed sixth in 17:09 and Brett Shipman was seventh in 17:13. Ethan Supplee placed 10th in 17:28, Tyler Clark claimed 14th in 18:09 and Brandon Stevens ran 15th in 18:14.

Also, Trevor Ball was 17th, Gavin Robinson ran 23rd, Eric Mowery took 26th, Riley Conners was 27th, Nathan Weaver finished 33rd, Isaac George placed 34th, Sy Shipman took 36th, Wyatt Fricke was 37th, Conner Page ran 39th, Turner Fitzpatrick was 40th, Josh Sullivan claimed 41st, Nathan Johnson ran 42nd and Tyler Knight took 45th.

The girls’ team placed four runners in the top five to win their race. Baylee Hack won the meet in 18:27, while Allie Johnson placed second in 19:20, Olivia Millisor placed fourth in 19:49 and Emily Hanft ran fifth in 20:03. Selia Shipman placed 13th in 22:19, while Maddie Fitzpatrick was 15th in 22:33 and Bridgette Millisor ran 16th in 22:36.

Also, Jadyn Shipman was 23rd, Emily Randall finished 28th, Zoie Barron took 30th, Dakota Shipman ran 32nd, Emma Burchett placed 33rd and Kelly Baer was 37th.

Cardington also competed in the meet. Their boys’ team took third place, as Mason White finished 12th in 17:37.23 and Racine Hallabrin took 16th in 18:18.76. Quinn Maceyko was 21st in 18:39.5, while Kaleb Meade took 30th in 19:24.96 and Spencer Benson was 31st in 19:25.69. Also, Devin Gheen took 49th in 22:37.9 and Sam West finished 54th in 24:43.3.

The Lady Pirates didn’t have a full team. Alicia McElwee finished 14th in 22:31.31, while Maddie Brehm took 25th in 25:11.76. Sage Brannon was 27th in 25:50.63 and Ashlee Drury placed 38th in 34:18.05.

Harding Invitational

Northmor’s girls finished sixth in the 18-team Marion Harding Invitational Saturday. Jessica Duryea placed 22nd in 21:07.5, while Samantha Peters finished 36th in 21:28.4 and Brooke Bennett took 37th in 21:29.8. Maddie Jordan ran 47th in 21:56.8, Julianna Ditullio was 55th in 22:14.6, Julia Kanagy took 68th in 22:39 and Sabrina Kelley ran 90th in 23:12.8.

Also, Olivia Goodson was 99th, Kristie Wright placed 128th and Samantha Grogg took 136th.

Highland’s girls were 13th in the race, with Sophia Thompson finishing second overall in 19:37.3 to lead the way. Alex Debord ran 38th in 21:30.4, while Mia White was 103rd in 23:44.7 and Elizabeth Jensen took 116th in 24:26.6. Morgan Wilhelm finished 130th in 25:11.3, Heather Ross placed 131st in 25:12 and Samantha Trusler took 141st in 25:46.4.

Also, Madison Cecil ran 150th, Annie Bailey was 154th and Olivia Longhenry took 163rd.

In the boys’ race, Northmor finished eighth in a 20-team race. Austin Amens took 30th in 17:31.5, while Gavvin Keen was 33rd in 17:37.1 and Ryan Bentley took 47th in 17:58.7. B.J. White finished 59th in 18:16.8, Chase Hoover took 66th in 18:22.9, Mostyn Evans finished 84th in 18:49 and Kaleb Hart ran 96th in 19:02.6.

Also, Alec Moore was 114th, Kooper Keen ran 124th and Manny Heilman took 134th.

Highland placed 11th in the race, as Dalton Lee was 29th in 17:29.6, Collin Kipp claimed 34th in 17:39.8 and Branton Howard placed 48th in 17:58.8. Zach Wetzel took 91st in 18:58.7 and Tucker Tague was 118th in 19:24.8, while Alex McCafferty ran 122nd in 19:29.8 and Bruce Jordan was 123rd in 19:32.1.

Also, Christian Miller was 129th, Nefiano Bumpus took 159th and Andrew Gaylord ran 180th.
