Cardington competed in the Utica Invitational on Tuesday, with the girls’ squad finishing fourth, while the boys were sixth.
The girls were led by Alicia McElwee, who was 10th in 25:55 on the hilly course. Sage Brannon took 19th in 27:53, while Taylor Linkous placed 25th in 29:50 and Marlo Young was 26th in 29:55. Also, Maddie Brehm took 33rd in 32:14 and Ashlee Drury ran 41st in 41:33.
In the boys’ race, Mason White took 10th place in 20:13, while Quinn Maceyko ran 14th in 22:03 and Racine Hallabrin claimed 17th in 22:13. Spencer Benson placed 27th in 23:50 and Kaleb Meade took 35th in 25:30. Also, Devin Gheen took 50th in 28:18 and Sam West placed 55th in 30:00.
