Northmor’s stay in the Division III baseball tournament was ended by visiting Utica on Monday by a 13-1 margin.

The Redskins scored three runs in the top of the second inning to take an early lead and then broke open the game with a five-run fourth. Northmor scored once in the bottom half of that inning, but their opponents got five more in the fifth to provide the game’s final margin.

Kyle Kegley, Sam Eichorn and Hayes Bentley combined to strike out four and walk nine in the contest, while also surrendering 11 hits. Kegley was the pitcher of record. Offensively, Northmor was held to two hits, with Nate Hall cracking a double.
