The Mount Gilead Track and Field Powerlifting group attended the State Powerlifting Meet in Kenton.

In their second year of competing, this group has pushed and pulled thousands pounds of iron in the weight room. Those competing at the State Meet were Kelsey Kennon, Dustin Fraizer, Savannah Randall and Nick McKinney.

Kelsey Kennon took the state title for her weight class and won top honors for the deadlift of 300 lbs. Dustin Fraizer took the top deadlift of 510 lbs. and placed runner-up in his weight class. Savannah Randall took fifth place in her division and Nick McKinney added a sixth place finish in his division.

Mount Gilead’s Dustin Fraizer placed second in his weight class at the state powerlifting meet and was tops in the deadlift.
