Northmor claimed a big road win in league play to stay in the running to place second in the Blue Division.

With a 60-51 win at Highalnd Thursday night, the Knights improved to 9-4 in the league, one-half game better than 8-4 Elgin, whose game that night with Cardington was postponed due to weather conditions.

The Knights led 13-10 after the first quarter and then tallied 20 in the second period to increase their lead to a 33-21 score. They would continue adding to their advantage in the third, taking a 16-6 advantage over those eight minutes. Highland rallied in the fourth, outscoring Northmor 24-11, but could not completely fight their way back into the game.

Maddie Swihart had a huge game for the Knights, hitting six three-pointers and scoring a game-high 20 points. Karalee Patterson added 15, hitting three three-pointers in the contest, while both Lindsey Wiseman and Brooke Bennett added eight each.

For Highland, currently 7-6 in the league, Madison Cecil hit three three-pointers and finished with 13 points. Kenzie Fuller also had 10, while Raven Tilford added 10.
