The Northmor wrestling team has opened its season with four dual match wins in a row.

In their season-opening competition, the Knights topped Marion Harding 66-10 and defeated Upper Sandusky 39-29. Eight Northmor wrestlers went 2-0 on the day. Manny Heilman (106 pounds), Jake Neer (120) and Matthew Ross (160) won by forfeit and decision, while Wyatt Collier (126) and Conan Becker (138) took wins by forfeit and pin.

Conor Becker (145) claimed a pair of pins, while Tony Martinez (152) had a pin and decision. Mason Burger (185) won by decision and medical default.

Aaron Kitts (132), Kyle Price (170), Nathan Price (195) and D.J. Christo (220) all picked up one win on the night.

Last Wednesday saw the Knights top Bucyrus 77-4 and then defeat River Valley 45-22.

Against the Redmen, Gavin Ramos (113), Neer, Kitts, Conor Becker, Martinez, Kyle Price, Burger and Tyson Moore (285) all won by pin. Heilman, Austin Amens (126), Nathan Price and Christo all had their arms raised via forfeit. Also, Conan Becker won by technical fall.

Heilman, Neer, Amens, Conan Becker and Martinez all pinned their River Valley opponents. Ramos, Kitts and Conor Becker won by decision (with Kitts’ coming in overtime) and Nathan Price picked up a win by forfeit.
