The Mount Gilead boys’ cross country team took second place in the 21-team Pickerington Invitational on Saturday.

Austin Hallabrin led the team by finishing fifth overall in 17:31, while Casey White was right behind him in sixth with a time of 17:34. Nick Weiss ran 14th in 18:03, while Liam Dennis took 21st in 18:23. Kyle White was 52nd in 19:36, Gavin Robinson took 53rd in 19:41 and Trevor Ball finished 66th in 20:05.

Also, Brandon Stevens was 69th, Riley Conners placed 85th, Tyler Clark took 88th, Sy Shipman finished 91st, Isaac George was 122nd, Gavvin Keen took 140th, Josh Brown was 165th, Nathan Johnson placed 167th, Connor Page took 172nd and Josh Conaway placed 213th.

The girls finished third in a 23-team race, as Baylee Hack was fifth in 20:47. Hannah Bush ran 17th in 21:54, while Darcy Picker was 22nd in 22:07 and Micah James finished 31st in 22:18. Bridgette Millisor was 70th in 23:58, Maddie Fitzpatrick ran 85th in 24:29 and Makayla Weaver claimed 116th place in 25:42.

Also, Jadyn Shipman was 137th, Savannah Randall ran 165th, Zoie Barron was 226th, Deani Smith placed 268th, Dakota Shipman finished 270th, Monica Lawrence was 281st, Kelly Baer claimed 292nd and Samantha Sullivan was 294th.
